New Album in Early 2006
The evidence is mounting (if you can call the repeated fantastic assertions of the parent of two young children evidence) that The Beautiful South will have at least one more album of new material.
In multiple interviews, Paul Heaton has confirmed that the lyrics are done, and once the band is finished touring in 2005 they will be back in the studio before the end of the year, with an album to emerge in early 2006.
Paul rushed to put the finishing touches on a batch of lyrics before the Autumn birth of his new baby, and has handed these poetic sniglets across to the Hatman for his amazing musical touch. Of course, Mr. Rotheray may be having too much fun with his side project to put quill to paper just yet.
Heaton also mentioned that so far the relationship with Sony is going quite well, and that the band is committed to supporting Golddiggas as much as the label can stand before they head back to Springield-on-Hull to record some more.
To catch up on the interviews and get your breath properly baited, catch up with teletext or the BBC Radio Devon interviews with Paul and see for yourself.
