THE BEAUTIFUL SOUTH, who release their new single 'CLOSER THAN MOST' on September 25, have announced a handful of live dates for October.
The band, whose album 'Painting It Red' follows on October 9, currently have a string of October dates, many of which have already sold out.

THE BEAUTIFUL SOUTH have finalised details of their forthcoming album 'PAINTING IT RED', nme.com can reveal.
The album, the band's seventh, comes after a two-year hiatus following the release of their last record 'Quench'. 'Painting It Red' will be released on October 9 through Go! Discs.
The album was recorded at Peter Gabriel's Real World Studios in Bath and produced by Jon Kelly and Paul Heaton. Ex-Housemartin and big beat pioneer Norman Cook, aka Fatboy Slim, is credited on the album as "rhythm consultant".
The confirmed tracklisting for the record is:

The album will be preceded by a new single, 'Closer Than Most', released on September 25, also through Go! Discs. The single will be released on all formats, and is backed by new tracks 'Moths' and 'The State That I'm In', as well as acoustic versions of 'The Table' and 'Blackbird On The Wire', taken from the band's appearance at this year's Cambridge Folk Festival.
